I have no idea who any of the bands they reference are... but the review of the review is really sweet and I really dig the way the writer breaks it down. Very cool.

These fuckers totally stole my idea:
mixtapes
no, not really but i really do think tapes are great and that this is a wicked idea. and i cant say i dig it being that nauseating valentines day gimmick. but! it would be cool to go to a tape party where everyone brings a mixtape and then everyone just listens to mixtapes all night. that way we could take our eyes off the dj for one second and realize that there are all these great people on all sides.
not that i dont want to frankie wilde from it's all gone pete tong for one day, but... you know.
